I left the house at 7.30 this morning. Had a tantrum on twitter about the shittest bus service in the world. Got to campus at about 8.30. Worked solidly (with the occasional food/cigarette break and a bullshit seminar) until about half 7 in the evening, making my bloody shirt. I’m. Finally. Done. Almost. Ish. Shhhh.
(Okay I only need to press it and do the button holes but still i.t’s pretty much done)
I spent ages making this shirt, literally hours. I reckon if I was more familiar with the machines, and the process, I could get it done in half the time. But either way I got it done and it’s strange because I feel like after all that time and effort, I should be proud of it, but I was so pissed off with it by the end, I just didn’t give a shit about it so it wasn’t VERY well made… Despite my ‘perfectionist’ manner. I was just conscientious about getting it done by the end of today. I did it.
I was at this point by around 2pm. I was just happy it would actually fit onto the mannequin… Although why the fuck wouldn’t it. I’m sorry I’ve been working for far too long today, I need to get used to these hours.
The final thing. I couldn’t be arsed to instagram it at this point so it’s annoying me that there isn’t a filter and I can’t be bothered to edit it now. I’m faaar too tired.
In other news for this project.. We’ve had to do like 20 designs for 4 themes, 20 more to combine them all, 20 more ‘technical’ designs, which is just the plain shirt I made up there, and 5 final designs. All of the main designs I did for the themes actually went okay, they’re all done. But for my final 5 I developed one of my favourite designs, which I might do as a self driven project for my portfolio as another Christmas project. See that PROJECT not PRESENT after the word CHRISTMAS. I’m such a good student.

But I’m most proud of my 5th final design and I am so desperate to make it, so I shall. Maybe. If I can be bothered over Christmas.
In other news, as my lovely cousin is getting married, I’m designing mine and my sisters dresses for the big day next Spring. I even have a self driven project sketchbook which I’ve started working in.
I’ve been awake and wokring and writing and sewing and smoking for far too long now. So I’m signing off. More to come, including my new mannequin which I’m getting for Christmas from my amazing Mum & Dad, making mine and my sister dresses and maybe my final shirt design. I’ll let you know how I do for my project, if I’m not celebrating asleep!
